  I heard the reason they lean in the opposite direction as the tape is because they have an instinctual reaction to anything touching them and try to avoid it.

    whats funny is taking a string and lightly wrapping it around a cats back near their hind legs... it instantly paralyzes them because of some sort of nerve or something so they will kinda try to walk around using only their front legs... oddly enough its actually supposed to be really pleasurable for them
