This was not a skate park, it was clearly a private venue hosting an event of some king (behold the crowd). So therefore (think for a second), the guards were probably hired by the skaters who put on the event.
But yes, there are uniformed authority figures being opposed by people with skateboards so it must be all The Man's fault.

The ones that skate in public places fuck everything up, so the local council then has to build all these measures in to make it difficult to skate which also makes it a pain in the arse for the general public.

im a old guy (42yrs) and i skated when i was in my teens in LA cal.
my youngest son is 15yrs and he has been skating since he was 9yrs. we live in florida now and the kids have nothing to do, no place to hangout, no nearby parks or "legal" places to skate board. being a adult now, and seeing it from this side of the whole age thing, why are skaters treated so bad? i know they can be jerks, but the same can be said about a lot of other kids, it just seems to be so screwed up, if a person finds a passion for something, all the more power to them. i know its hard to be a teen/young adult, and when one finds something that makes them happy (unless its hurting others), how can it be bad?
sorry, i dont mean to run on, but i feel everyone, young and old should be encouraged to find that "something" that brings you joy..
