I didn't know copperheads were considered the same snake, but I do know that the copperheads around here are alot smaller than the cottonmouths or water moccasins that i've seen in the south.
Copperheads are close cousins to Cottonmouths... Cottons are semi aquatic, Coppers are not.

i saw a documentary about these guys or a different bunch of them..they were drinking what they claimed was poison too...one guy got bit by a snake for like the third time...he was hospitalized but refused treatment and he died....also they listen to this freaked out rockabilly music and dance around funny...i love them
