If someone spends 2 years in jail or 5 years in jail, it makes no difference, there is no lesson learned or corrections occurring. They come out of prison as super criminals, they work out and do hard slave labor and spend the rest of their time mingling and socializing with other criminals trading tips and tricks like it's a recipe swap.

    I worked at 7-11 and someone stealing gas clipped a worker just cleaning trash minding their own. Mind you he barely touched him, he was fine, and honestly I didn't even like the guy but it's still so fucking disgusting that they'd do that, that when they hit a car pulling out the lot I still ran out and beat the shit out of the driver. Cops do have a bigger responsibility with what they do not to make it personal but watching someone almost kill someone for something as dumb as an outstanding warrant or 20 bucks in gas, cop or no, is enough to make many people beat the shit out of someone.
