Such a good beat em' up. Sega got things right with that one. It was on Genesis, Master System and Game Gear.

closest thing that i've played recently is no more heroes, but that doesn't really count as a classic beat em up where its side scrolling like combatribes or this or golden axe or double dragon or something ;/
actually a game i want to see remade would be smash tv....... a really big multiplayer smash tv super gory would be awesome..
closest thing to smash tv at the moment is geometry wars galaxies....

Duke Nukem 3d was my favorite old school game. The shrink ray was really the most hilarious gun in any video game... ever. Use it then walk on the little bastard. And really, what other game can you curb stomp an alien as it bleeds from its jugular?

Streets of Rage 2 was awesome. Mortal Kombat was great (mk1 and mk2). Street Righter was annoying in all it's million fucking sequels.
Granted, a lot of them sucked. What was it Ruby Fighter, that shit was terrible. Though, the Alpha series was cool, up until SFA III got all gay on us.
I just completed this game over the weekend. Well, I say weekend but it actually took about 3 1/2 hours or something.

3rd Strike is the best Street Fighter. It may not have the "wow factor" 2 did. But it's just better.
I miss the days when fighting games were simple. They're way too complicated now, with the multiple platform levels and 3D rings
