the tomcat is the F-15, and the hornet is an FA-18. this plane looks exactly like the SU-27, with twin engines and such a thick wingspan i doubt it could out perform even an f16, tbh this plane could be slaughtered by a bomber like a tornado or a jaguar. russia = pwnt

They finally have developed a composite material for the airframe which was a huge step for the Russkies. They are giving away radar evasion for performance which is not a good idea since it cant out perform an air/air missle. Unit cost is very high. 10 million more than an F-15, which is why there less than 30 that have been built. They are looking to sell them primarily. Nice aircraft.

I don't know how familiar the userbase here is with the evolution of the Su flanker series; but the Su-35 flanker will outperform most all U.S. aircraft up to the F/A-22 Raptor, the video doesn't do it justice. Its quick accel and maneuverability is what pilots dread in dogfights
I'm not entirely clued up but I was of the belief that air combat has shifted decidedly more towards beyond visual range engagements. Still, gotta love Pugachev's Cobra.
