Same... the only thing I don't like about Canada is the socialized health care. Good theory... But the execution of it fails hard. My Ex was a Canadian and had major health issues. In the end she nearly died half a dozen times from doctors brushing her off.

It probably depends on where you live too. Big city is going to have a lot of people requiring medical attention. I just remember hearing horror stories from her. She had a form of cancer on her uterus at the age of 16 and the doctor kept blowing her off till her mother harassed his secretary as to where he was. Found him the golf course chewed him out a new asshole, then when it came time for surgery he had a conflict of ethics making it so a teenager couldn't have the chance to procreate later in life. So he choose not to do the surgery she was in dire needs of for half a year and dealt with intolerable pain the entire time, where as the doctors morals were easier to handle her going through an agonizing death then performing the surgery. I've always wondered if that douche bag doctor did it earlier if she wouldn't have had internal suffering issues for the next eleven years. God rest her soul. One of the nicest people I've ever met in my life.

While Puddings story seems unlikley, the health care system here does leave ALOT to be desired. If the US did break up, Canada would only be interested in the border states, including Alaska (we wouldnt want to share a border with Mexico)
You may be unhappy with it, it's much better than what's available in the US.
If you want good fake boobs and medicine to help you get erections, the USA is a great place to get 'healthcare'
If you want preventative medicine and care when you need it most, single payer systems like in Canada ( and the rest of the world ) are most effective.
I've tried both. Canada is better if you're broke and you need something to avoid dying. US is better otherwise. I Canada you can't just go get something done, everything has a wait... everything. Insurance has ruined both the systems so they cost a fuckload more than they should (like if you ask how much to get a windshield fixed and the guy tells you "well it's $700 if you have insurance and $150 if you don't"... same shit happens when you insure the fuck out of health care.)

Wanko, the reason stuff like that happens (in many cases) is because insurance companies started telling providers "oh, you want to charge how much? Okay, we'll pay you 37% of that." Which made the providers jack up their prices so they can make what they wanted to get in the first place.
Yeah plus for health insurance, fucking half of it is just going to pay malpractice insurance because apparently the life of some asshole that sits in front of the TV all day is worth millions.
If insurance is gonna work it has to be completely deregulated so that any bunch of fuckers can start their own company and exclude whoever the fuck they want. Yeah the fucking fat diabetic aids infested fucks that spend all day smoking and drinking in front of the TV will in uninsurable... so fucking what?
