He's pretty good, although I'm not sure who Jason Becker is.
Well I have to agree with Ryoga for once. Although the harmony and melodic structure comes from classical music, blacks invented blues, jazz, rock & roll, and just about every other fucking form of popular music in this country. Unfortunately we also have a plethora of people like embeezy that are complete degenerates, and contribute nothing to the world other than a narrow minded viewpoint and useless banality.
Actually, the syncopation (aka the back beat) heard in the harmony of most modern music came from African songs, too. While I do agree with Ryoga about this, I still think he's a useless twerp who likes to talk about how great he is on the internet.
Jason Becker is incredible; don't take away from him. This guy is amazing also, but their styles are completely different, so they can't really be compared. It's like asking who is a better athlete, Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods?
Also, did anyone else catch the song he was playing? It was the end of Stairway to Heaven.

there isn't one technique or riff this spook did that Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani or Eric Johnson couldn't duplicate, they probably already have, they're just the wrong color so it goes unnoticed. I am a guitarist and a huge Hendrix fan but honestly, Stanley Jordan was the greatest guitarist who ever picked up a guitar.
The story goes something like this: Some huge band was playing at Madison Square Garden and the support band failed to turn up. The organiser of the event was pulling his hair out wondering what to do when he went outside and saw this black kid (Jordan) busking on the coner of the street. He grabbed him and stuck him on stage as the support act. The rest is history for those of you who know music.

usually when looking at the amount of crime by large groups of people, you'll find that most of the crimes are commited by people with Low-income, thats a MUCH bigger factor than the color of your skin. When people are poor they resort to crime, plain and simple. If you've got a good life, good home, good education, and overall "easy" life chances are you arent going to commit crime(obviously some do, serial killers, columbine kids, etc etc but im talking about AMOUNT of crime).

That video sounds like complete shit.^^^ So what if he's fast, he's unmusical and no one wants to listen to that wretched, soul-less, wanker metal. The guy has no tone, whatsoever, and he plays those same arpeggio patterns in every fucking solo. Plus he looks ridiculous. I saw a clip of something he tried clean tone and he didn't even make it all the way through; and what he did play sounded like shit.
@ nahog99 - thats pretty much what I had in mind, and it goes deeper than that but you get the idea. Whites by far commit more crimes. But are prosicuted much less for many reasons. Status amd income being a major factor. If you ever bought on of his CD's such as Perspective you would see that he is not only one of the most amazing people for his couragea and strength but hes one of the best musicians. No one comes even close to some of the compositions hes written.

If you want to hear a cool guitar player, check out Monty Montgomery. He's from Austin Tx, he plays an acoustic like an electric. I'm not crazy about his music but he rips. A very under appreciated talent.
