'peep show', 'how not to live your life' and 'spaced' are some of my all time favourite shows. it's only the more surreal stuff (this, or 'league of gentlemen' for example)which i honestly just don't quite get.

No, its because it isn't funny. When i lived in England I had to tell people I was about to tell them a joke or else they were too stupid to realize that what I was saying was a joke and they would take it seriously and get offended.
