My brewery is in the basement.
Nothing fancy, yak. I keep it as simple as possible. The most elaborate thing in the brewery is a 7.5 gallon stainless steel brewpot. The rest can be pieced together or built if you're good with your hands.
My buddy's brewpot is a keg with the top cut off.
Appearance, Smell, Taste, Mouthfeel, Drinkability?
A little cloudy. That's to be expected in an unfiltered live beer.
Smells like maple.
No bittering hops, only aroma. Sweet maple flavor.
Light mouthfeel.
I'd give it a couple of more weeks in the bottle to become really drinkable. Gonna be a good breakfast beer.
so do you have your own bottling setup or do you just poor it in to bottles?
as far as brewpots go, i've read that lots of people just use big garbage bins?
May I ask why this is called VicSin Maple? What does one have to do with the other? Or am I being obtuse?

yeah, its *fairly* common in euro beers... like some belgian beers i've had have huge sedimentation because its got bottle fermentation or some shit... always really clowdy

Apathy....i brew also. Do you ever go to the beer fest in denver? A friend of mine just spent $10,000 with More Beer on a new stainless steel Sculpture Tippy System and a 20 gallon Complete Conical Fermenter - Heating & Cooled. Makes too much so I just take my kegs to him to get filled.
I've always wanted to go to the Denver beerfest. Maybe one of these years.
I go every year.$45 a day for three days and 1700 beers to taste...
My work schedule makes it hard for me to get there. I haven't even made it to Beer Camp yet.
Belgian beers are some of the best. Too many to mention

I've wanted to dabble in beer brewing as well, but I haven't had the time or monies. Maybe now that I've gradumacated I can try. I did go to last years Beerfest in Denver and it was pretty sweet. I'm planning on going this year again, hopefully.
