On the other hand, I can show you plenty of instances where one guy alone with a gun has been able to kill many unarmed people in a "no-gun" area while the police waited outside for the killer to off himself while his victims to bleed to death.
And what a coincidence, these massacres which usually take place at your gun-free occupation (school/place of work) also seem to be in states where it's quite easy for your everyday looking person, including your psychotic (or soon to be) perpetrator, to accumulate a good inventory of weapons for their spree or when they finally snap and have them in easy reach.
If there is no proper screening process and the state flouts federal mandates, allowing concealable weapons should be out of the question no matter how good the arguments are against concealable weapons in the first place.
