Was anyone the least bit suprised by this? Silva is one of the scariest men on the planet.
I've been wanting to watch this, but the goddamn video won't work for me. I did see the BJ Penn/ Sean Sherk fight. It was pretty good.

Agree 1rish1, u gotta respect wand, and we all know that Jardine is known for his consistency. I wanted it to be a little longer though.... good KO, jardine was floored for a good 3 minutes :/
Going into this fight many questioned if the numerous battles Silva had been in throughout the years had started taking their toll...But Silva still is devastating and Jardine was a pretty good opponent for a comeback/statement fight.
we all know the only reason jardine beat chack was because chack was so fucked up on drugs....
the fucked up thing is silva is 1 year younger then i am.... he looks like hes 50 ;/

yeah the uglier and more retarded they look the less you want to fight em. but yeah i saw this ufc and its the best one i've seen in a very long time. but this was my favorite knock out of the night. bj penn and sean sherk was my favorite though. bj is unstoppable at 155. he's either gonna have to gain some more weight or urija faber is gonna have to transition to the ufc for him to get a good competative fight.
Faber is a badass too.
Faber is a "small" 145 lbs fighter, he does not have to cut weight before fights, I dont see him moving up....And while I hate Sherk, I think he should have had a "tune up" fight before he steped into the octogon with Penn...There are 3 fighters I see the UFC feeding to Penn before they have to worry about moving someone up or down: Florian (who I cant stand either), Maynard (if he continues to develop and win) and Huerta (a Penn/Huerta fight is probably the only big $$ fight left in that division).
apparently you don't know too much about moving up a weight class. it would be easy for faber to gain just 10 pounds right after he beats pulver this sunday. he is amazing at 145 and with his speed and power 10 pounds will probably help him be a better and stronger fighter.
apparently you dont know much about fighting/wrestling/boxing or anyother sport that has weight classes. Faber is a comfortable 145 lbs, his weight rarely goes too far above that, while BJ Penn probably walks around at close to 165 lbs. After weigh ins Penn will put on most of the weight he lost...so thats a 20 lbs difference which in wrestling/MMA is a HUGE difference (think the clip posted tonight of the fat girl and two asians)......And if you dont think even 10 lbs of weight gain wont impare Urija and his current fight style, technical skill and stamina then again "you dont know much about moving" weight.

ralph i do know alot about fighting/wrestling/boxing. i wrestled in high school and have been around fighting and boxing a good part of my life and 10 lbs isn't hard to move up if you can put it on the right way and by seeing what i have seen faber do at feather weight moving up is just gonna make him better. at 5'6" 10 lbs extra will make him a fucking monster. he'll look like sean sherk but the difference is urija has skill all around. sherk was fast as fuck he is just getting a little old and worn out. faber is young and has many more years of mayhem to bring. if can actually fight all around stand up and on the ground go pick a fight with somebody 3 inches taller than you and weighs 20 lbs more than you its not hard to beat the shit out them if you know what the fuck you're doing.
the issue with sherk was the fact that he really hasn't fought in awhile, and putting him against possibly one of the best fighters in that weight class seems like a bit of a mistake.... sherk was the champ and lost it due to the whole banned substance stuff... they should have put him up against a few other fights to work up to a title fight again in my opinion.
Ic3, if you have wrestled before, you know that 10 lbs is alot of weight to give up. Its not a matter of Urijah purely a matter of Urijah putting on the extra weight, which is going to be difficult for him seeing as how he doesnt drop much, if any weight before a fight. At 28 his body has matured ...But like I said, Penn walks around at 165-170 lbs and although he has to drop some weight, after weigh ins he is going to get back much of the water weight. And BJ isnt just someone who happens to be bigger than Faber. BJ is one of the best and most technicaly sound fighters in the world. He is every bit as skilled (if not more) than Urijah....And Ive been wrestling out of the womb and was fortunate enough to wrestle in college and can tell you first hand that 10 lbs is alot of weight to give up.

bj is THE best fighter at his weight class hands down. he stays calm at all times and doesn't rush in like a mad man to beat people down he knows exactly when to go for the kill. all i'm saying is for him to have a good competative fight urija needs to gain 10 lbs for him to get that fight. i'm not talking about it happening in the next few months cause i know that shit ain't gonna happen. and yes i do know its fucking hard to gain weight cause i've always had a fast matabalism. i never had to watch what i ate to make weight. i can eat and drink all i want and i won't gain any weight. but with a strict protein infested diet and the right supliments its not that hard. and if you watched this last ufc then you would've seen the size difference in bj and sherk. sherk looked like a roided out midget. sherk had way more mass on him than bj did. but bj still beat the fucking piss out of him and made him look like a bitch. oh and irish just curious what choke hold would you put him in.
