The snippets in my head aren't so much quotes but scenes I halfway remember. There was some movie that kills me everytime I try to remember it. There was a bunch of, I wanna say, middle school kids and they all had on the striped tube socks and soccer jersey with their name on the back and one of them ate acid and they were watching a filmstrip in class and the kid was starting to freak out. I can't remeber anything else but I remember watching it when I was a kid.

its not brian henson, i just read an interview and shit about power of the dark crystal, its got the same person who wrote the original doing it from memories of him talking about a sequel with jim henson before he died, its got his daughter (jim hensons daughter) who is the ceo of jim henson productions now doing the puppetry, and its got the same person who did the art for it (brian fraud), i guess jim henson was disappointed with the technological limitations he had making the first one so they had wanted to make another at some point... the director is going to be the same guy who directed power puff girls and samurai jack and clone wars cartoons, so the action should be pretty insane...

Bladerunner. Hands fucking down. One of the best movies ever...and easily the greatest Sci-Fi movie of our time. The cinematics and atmosphere are unrivalled...even with today's technology. The story moves kinda slow...but take in Ridley Scott's masterful creation of a truly believable 'near-future'. It's an experience.

To be honest there have been many great films in every decade since the 50's so that doesn't really narrow things down. What sticks with me about the 80's is the "casuals" thing.
The 80s had more memorable movies...and a much higher number of kick ass movies. It's just a fact.

But, for memorable ones...that you just love to see whenever they come on TV...the 80s have it. And for the sheer number of brilliant movies...the 80s have it.
It's probably a correlation with advances in technology and social perspectives...as well as a more optimistic, innocent, and financially-decadent period in modern history.
